We are a full service restaurant with a historical “fish camp” theme, located directly on the beautiful and historic St. Johns river. After all, it has been a “fish camp” since the mid-1950's. So, when we made it into a restaurant in 2003, we kept the flair of old Florida in the building, the property, and the food.
You have a beautiful view from every table inside the restaurant, on our screened patio, and from our outside tables. Scott Joseph said, “Best overall fish camp experience. The view is spectacular. It is the most beautiful site I’ve seen in Florida.” (Orlando Sentinel Restaurant Critic, July 25, 2008.)
Our famous food includes your standard favorites, such as prime rib, a great selection of seafood, the greatest wings you will ever have, burgers made like you never had them, and home cooked daily specials. Plus, we have items on our menu that you simply cannot find anywhere else, such as: Our one of a kind Bar-B-Que stew, Swamp Cabbage using the oldest of Florida recipes, and other great “Florida Fixin’s.”
We also have daily lunch specials, daily food specials, a good selection of beer, wine, and other beverages, dart leagues, and weekend entertainment. Are you a musician? Come out and join in on every Sunday 2-6 “Jam With the Band” mini blues fest. If not, just come out and listen to some of the best local talent Central Florida has to offer.
Our gator menu is the best in Florida. That is not just bragging. Even the gator hunters come in for our gator. It is all Florida alligator from a local farm. Ever had gator that would melt in your mouth? How about a gator burger, or gator meatballs? We will cook it any way you like it, such as regular, grilled, blackened, cajun, or add BBQ sauce, wing sauce, or experiment on your own. All of our food is cooked to order.
Come by air, land or sea. It is a great place to land your sea plane, as many do. We are an easy “straight shot” drive using State Road 46, just 11 miles from Sanford (S.R. 415) and 11 miles from Mims (I-95), and right by the bridge at Seminole County’s C.S. Lee Park, where you can launch your boat. We have plenty of parking and docking, and a separate motorcycle parking area.
